Automation Engineer

With a team of 150 people based in Bahrain, Dubai and Saudi Arabia, Fives Services Gulf provides local customer service, project execution support and local parts sourcing, in addition to carrying out refit and modernization projects, audits and technical assistance on customer sites. A team is also dedicated to the maintenance of equipment in operation at our customers' plants.  Job ContentIt is with you, that industry can do it!    We are currently seeking an Automation Engineer, who has the same desire to prove that industry can do it! Key Accountabilities & ResponsibilitiesDevelop and program automation systems using PLCs, HMIs, and new industrial technologiesConduct feasibility studies and recommend solutions for equipment reliability improvementPerform system integration, including sensors, actuators, and controllersTroubleshoot and maintain robotic and automated systemsOptimize system performance by analyzing data and making adjustments.

Collaborate with other engineers, technicians, production staff, and stakeholders to ensure project successProvide technical support and training to operators and maintenance personnelEnsure compliance with safety standards and regulationsAnalyze electrical automation issues, propose solutions and where necessary implement modifications in liaison with back offices to comply with change requests / specification amendmentsProvide technical expertise and advise on all electrical automation activities and requirements for efficient delivery of maintenance activities Conduct technical investigations and detailed fault finding for recurring and/or serious problems related to electrical automation activities Ensure electrical automation records are maintained and kept fully up to date as per Company policies and procedures Ability to design and implement robotic automation systems for assembly and commissioning environmentsProgram and integrate industrial robots and develop control algorithms for robotic task executionEnsure compliance with all relevant (internal and external) regulations including HSEQ requirements using Company policies and procedures as appropriateMinimum Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in electrical and Automation Engineering or a relevant field Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experienceExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsWhy come to Fives?  By becoming part of Fives, you will be joining an international group that will provide you access to numerous opportunities for growth and mobility, in a wide number of fields.
