Flagger Force, an industry leader in traffic control, is currently hiring a Fleet Operations Supervisor. This position will be based out of our Operations Services Center located in Hummelstown, PA. The Fleet Systems & Operations Supervisor is responsible for managing fleet performance, asset logistics, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards within the temporary traffic control industry. This role oversees daily operations, telematics systems, vehicle maintenance, roadside support, and vendor relationships, ensuring that fleet and equipment are safe, compliant, and efficiently utilized.
The ideal candidate brings a mix of technical fleet expertise, operational leadership, and a deep understanding of DOT/MUTCD compliance. Responsibilities Administer and maintain GPS tracking, telematics, and fleet maintenance systems (e. g. , Samsara, Fleetio). Analyze system data to improve driver behavior, fuel efficiency, idle time, and maintenance scheduling. Ensure system data integrity and train users across departments on effective platform use. Produce and present analytics and reporting on fleet performance and utilization. Supervise daily fleet operations, vehicle readiness, and equipment used in traffic control (e. g. , arrow boards, attenuators).
Coordinate preventive maintenance, inspections, and emergency repairs with warehouse and vendors; ensure records are accurate and up to date. Oversee vendor relationships for repair, service, roadside assistance, towing, and parts supply. Review fleet assets for lifecycle planning, refurbishment, or sale/auction decisions. Analyze job site and operational needs to determine asset allocation and geographic distribution. Facilitate asset movements, new equipment upfitting, and support of resource allocation across markets. Track and manage asset inventory and location through digital systems. Ensure compliance with DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, MUTCD, and company safety standards. Maintain vehicle files (licenses, certifications, inspections, hours of service).
Conduct audits, investigate incidents, and prepare for internal and third-party inspections. Manage incident response processes, accident documentation, and support claims processing. Conduct safety briefings, training sessions, and performance reviews. Support a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. Collaborate with project managers and safety coordinators on job readiness and equipment needs. Contribute to fleet and logistics strategies supporting company growth and new market development. Lead or assist with special projects including equipment procurement, fleet expansion, and systems upgrades.

Proficient in fleet software (e. g. , Samsara, Element, Fleetio). Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills; data analytics experience preferred.
Familiarity with vehicle maintenance, telematics, and compliance reporting. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with third-party vendors. Valid driver’s license required Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred. Previous experience in traffic control, construction, or transportation industries strongly preferred. Additional certifications in safety, logistics, or fleet management a plus.
