Ensures positive patient customer satisfaction, proper utilization of body mechanics, adherence to policies, procedures and standards established by Shands, and the departmental management. Transports patients in wheelchairs, beds, stretchers or wagons to patient care areas, ancillary areas, various outpatient clinics, and for discharge from the hospital.
QualificationsMinimum Education and Experience Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Prefer Certified Nursing Assistant or patient contact experience. Current enrollment in a Health Related educational program desirable. Exhibits ability to follow oral as well as written instructions and recognize medical emergencies.
