Flight SchedulerScope: Manage all flight scheduling activities (both scheduled and ad hoc operations), ensuring efficient resource use, regulatory compliance, and operational reliability.
Responsibilities Flight Schedule Management Ensure the accurate planning, creation, and updates of flight schedules for both scheduler and ad hoc operations. Crew & Aircraft Resource Coordination Maintain compliance with crew duty time limits and ensure aircraft are assigned based on availability and maintenance status. Operational Continuity Support real-time scheduling adjustments and respond promptly to operational disruptions to minimize impact. Regulatory Compliance Adhere to internal Manual’s/SOPs (FOM) and external regulatory frameworks (NAMCARS, NAMCATS) when scheduling flights and crew. Data Accuracy & Record Keeping Ensure all scheduling data is accurate, up-to-date, and appropriately logged in the scheduling system (Air Maestro).
Minimum Requirements Language Proficiency: Excellent written and spoken English is required. Proficiency in additional local or international languages is an advantage. Industry Experience: Previous experience in the aviation and/or tourism sectors is highly desirable. Administrative Experience: Proven background in administrative duties, including documentation and record-keeping. Scheduling & Rostering: Demonstrated experience in managing schedules or rosters, particularly in time-sensitive or operational environments. Customer Service: Strong customer care skills, with a professional and service-oriented approach. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to liaise effectively across departments and with stakeholders. Technical Skills: High level of computer literacy is required.
Familiarity with scheduling systems and Microsoft Office is essential. Basic knowledge of computer programming is an added advantage. Organizational Abilities: Strong organizational and analytical skills, with attention to detail and a structured approach to problem-solving. Time Management: Excellent time management abilities: must be able to multi-task, prioritize tasks, and meet strict deadlines. Critical Thinking: Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills; able to think critically under pressure. Regulatory Compliance: Ability to understand and operate within strict aviation rules and regulations. Work Environment: Comfortable working in a high-pressure, fast paced, and dynamic operational environment. Confidentiality:
