Licenced Engineer with Chief Engineer responsibilities - Falklands (Mount Pleasant)We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Licenced Engineer to take on Chief Engineer responsibilities to join our Falklands Operations.Role Overview:Reporting to the UK P145 Maintenance Manager, the Licenced Engineer / Chief Engineer will be responsible for the oversight and delivery of all aircraft maintenance activities at the Falklands base. This is a key leadership position requiring strong technical knowledge, regulatory awareness, and team management skills. The successful candidate will work back-to-back with another Chief Engineer to lead a team of technicians and skilled engineers to ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable performance of maintenance operations.Key Responsibilities Licenced Engineer:Certification at B1.3 on S92. (an AW189 type rating, or Goodrich Hoist training would be an advantage).Line maintenance, modification, repairs, and component changes on S92/AW189 and other aircraft required.Ensure that all maintenance tasks carried out meet the standard to CAA regulations.Help maintain / improve Company standards.Ensure that all maintenance is completed within the appropriate time scales to ensure provision of serviceable aircraft to meet the operational expectations.Inform and update the Chief Engineer on the maintenance situation.Marshalling, refueling, ground handling of aircraft.Where assigned, mentor trainees.Key Responsibilities Chief Engineer:Lead and manage maintenance activities in accordance with applicable regulations and internal proceduresEnsure aircraft availability, serviceability, and compliance with all safety and quality standardsCoordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders to support operational requirementsPromote a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and teamwork within the maintenance teamCandidate Profile:Qualifications:Minimum UK CAA Part 66 B1.3 and/or B2 licenceType rating on S-92 or AW189 preferredExperience:Minimum 2 years' experience on S-92 or AW189 aircraft (preferred)Proven management or supervisory experience in a similar maintenance leadership roleSkills:Strong leadership and interpersonal skillsExcellent communication and problem-solving abilitiesComputer literate with proficiency in maintenance management systemsBe able to prioritise workload and delegate tasks efficiently.Have the ability to work in all weathers and under time pressure.Working knowledge of ERP systems. SAP / eMX / RAMCO is desirableFlexibility to support a remote operation such as in the Falklands Islands.Additional Information:This role operates on a 42 days on / 42 days off roster patternTravel, accommodation and meals providedFalklands allowance applicable (for commuters)Must be eligible to either work in the Falkland Islands or be able to meet Falkland Island work permit requirements.The successful candidate will need to comply with local Immigration Policies, Medical Requirements and Security Clearance Processes to obtain a relevant work permit, if not a resident in the Falkland Islands.Please apply through: Bristow Careers page R-0005188Closing Date: 12 November 2025
