Working within our flotilla team allows you to be part of our customer's holiday; you will ensure the successful running of an organised itinerary exploring beautiful destinations. From daily briefings to punch parties and regattas, flotillas bring new friends together.Sunsail is recruiting flotilla technicians based in Greece and Croatia to work in the Mediterranean for the Summer. Full seasonal roles are available on a one-week or two-week flotilla route. Full and high-season positions are open, and following successful summer placements, winter opportunities may be available.Primary duties will centre around the yachts, the base and ports of call. You and your lead boat team will be the face of the company. Working hours vary, and you MUST be flexible to operational requirements. You may sometimes be required to assist with other flotillas or base duties. At the beginning and end of the season, you may be asked to carry out fleet re-fit/lay-up. The yachts are prepared for the upcoming season or furloughed for winter during these periods. It includes painting, cleaning, repairs, and anything else required to prepare the yacht for the season or placed under furlough.What You Will Be DoingEnsuring the safety of all guests throughout the flotillaGreeting clients and assisting with boarding, followed by detailed on-board briefs covering safety and yacht systemsEfficient stock control of vital spare parts stored on the lead yachtAssisting the flotilla skipper with the safe mooring of yachtsAssisting with the general requirements of flotilla, including any client queries or problemsSocialising with guestsAssisting with the organisation of social events, including group meals and Welcome PartiesCleanliness and good presentation of the lead boat at all timesCompleting turnaround service checks, yacht preparation and deck washingBriefing clients on the yacht's systems and safety equipmentMaintenance and repairs to yacht equipmentProactive and preventative daily maintenance checks and repairs.Engine servicing, oil and filter checks/changesMaintenance of outboards for tendersEmergency callouts for breakdowns on any of the fleetEnsuring the safety of all clients, including safety briefingsAssisting clients with queries and problemsAssisting with the general running of the baseAny other duties as advised by the Base ManagerWhat We Are Looking ForExperience maintaining diesel engines and 2 & 4 stroke outboardsYacht sailing experience (RYA Day Skipper/ Competent Crew desired)Good understanding of 12V DC electrical systems and marine plumbing systemsPractically minded-with an ability to tackle problemsAbility to work through pressurised conditions and with time constraints.Experience in a customer-orientated environmentSociable and positive personalityA strong teammatePackageCompetitive industry standard salaryAccommodationReturn flights from your home country to the baseUniformTravel InsuranceStaff deals on yacht holidaysGlobal career opportunitiesSponsorship opportunities for top-performing team membersOur Commitment to Diversity, Equity, and InclusionWe believe people perform best when they can be their true selves, and diverse teams drive better results.
