Job Title: Category Sr. OfficerGrade: SU Level 2Department: CategoryReporting To: Lead Category (Floral)Job Purpose: The Category Sr. Officer plays a critical role in supporting the end-to-end management of the floral category by assisting in assortment planning, inventory control, and cross-functional execution. This role ensures products are curated and maintained in alignment with customer preferences, seasonal opportunities, and market trends. The position requires strong coordination across Procurement, Content, Marketing, and Operations to deliver seamless product launches and promotional campaigns. Key Responsibilities:
Category Strategy & CurationAssist in the development of a compelling floral assortment strategy based on customer insights, regional preferences, and seasonal trends. Contribute to the continuous improvement of category performance by analyzing sales data and identifying gaps or opportunities in the current assortment. Cross-Functional CollaborationCoordinate with Procurement, Content, Marketing, and Operations teams to ensure accurate product listings and readiness for campaigns and seasonal peaks. Liaise regularly with stakeholders to align timelines, priorities, and ensure seamless product execution and availability. Inventory & Stock PlanningSupport inventory forecasting activities and ensure timely stock replenishment and balanced stock rotation across SKUs.
Track aging stock and recommend actions to optimize sell-through and minimize waste. Regional Initiatives & CampaignsPartner with the Regional Category Manager to support high-impact marketing initiatives, seasonal launches, and commercial plans. Provide execution support for regional activations and track campaign outcomes to suggest future improvements. Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Supply Chain, or a related field. 2–4 years of experience in category management, merchandising, supply chain, or retail/e-commerce operations. Experience in the floral, gifting, or lifestyle categories is a plus. Proficiency in Excel and comfort working with online dashboards andreporting tools.
Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail in planning and execution. Soft Skills: Effective communicator and team collaborator. Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities. Passion for flowers, seasonal trends, and product curation; knowledge of floral handling and design is a significant advantage.
