To complete our creative and dynamic team in Lausanne, we are seeking a: Propulsion Engineer Intern (100% - 6 months)Starting date: September 2025Your role: For this hands-on position, you will join the Flyability Propulsion Lab, working on the propulsion system of our next-generation UAVs. You will support us in tackling the many propulsion-related challenges and help us push the boundaries of what UAVs can do in indoor environments.

From lithium batteries and speed controllers to motors and propellers, this is a very broad field indeed, which allow us to tailor the job description to your interests and competenciesWhat you will own: Design and implementation of testing jigs and prototypesPerforming experimental components testing and post-processing the acquired dataBenchmarking components and suppliersRequirementsYour profile:

Good theoretical and practical electrical engineering skillsBasics of lithium batteries operationBasic knowledge of the aerodynamics of flying vehiclesExperience in the conception of prototypes and functional samplesPractical prototyping skills such as 3D printing, soldering, and CNCPrevious model planes/drones experience is a big plusKnowledge of Python, MATLAB, SolidWorks, ALTIUM, etc. Experience in data acquisition is a big plusEye for details, independent mindset and excellent problem-solving skillsVery Good level of English.
