Titanic Hotel Belfast opened its doors for business in September 2017. This luxury 119-bedroom hotel was created in the former headquarters of Harland & Wolff, builders of Titanic, and provides the perfect destination for anyone travelling to the Titanic Quarter on business or for pleasure. The Harland & Wolff Drawing Offices, the earliest parts of these historic buildings, date from the 1880s and, over the following 100 years, played an essential part in the design of many of the world’s most famous ocean liners, the creation of the ‘floating hotel’ and influenced the design of many of today’s cruise ships. Belfast is the birthplace of the Titanic, and this heritage hotel is a sister to our award-winning Titanic Hotel, Liverpool. The hotel has been restored and operated by Harcourt Developments, an international property development company with over 50 years of experience repairing and renovating listed heritage buildings.Job PurposeTo serve all food and beverage as required by hotel standards. Responsible for managing shifts and delivering an exceptional guest experience. Assist with maintaining all levels of courtesy, service and cleanliness of the outlets.About The RoleMain duties and responsibilities: To ensure exemplary hospitality to the guest and staff at all timesEnsure orders of food and beverage are served promptly in accordance with hotel standardsTo help ensure all stock levels for food and beverage are held at the required level and that adequate mis-en-place is available for each shift in the outletTo ensure liquor control is strictly maintained at all times and all ullage, transfers and requisitions are correctly completed as per hotel standards, ensuring minimal wastage within the food and beverage areasTo ensure that the team takes every opportunity to pro-actively act upon up sellingTo be fully conversant with systems and supervise the collection of all monies and ensure that all guest bills are posted correctlyTo help ensure that the team work to an agreed rigid cleaning procedure in outletAct upon opportunities in and outside of your department taking ownership to remedy guests and colleagues needsIn the absence of your manager to take responsibility to ensure that the department is run to the required company standardsTo ensure the outlet adheres to the correct opening times and that procedures are followedTo report all maintenance faults to the Maintenance Department and follow the remedy through. To report any loss or severe damage to managementTo be responsible for cashing up and closing the outletTo attend and contribute to all daily/weekly team meetings in the absence of the Managers.
