Foreign Trade Specialist

Position: Foreign Trade Specialist Department: Foreign Trade OperationsReports to: Import Export Operations SpecialistLocation: Yamanevler, Ümraniye, Istanbul (On-site) Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Foreign Trade Specialist to join our Foreign Trade Operations Department in Istanbul. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in import/export operations, customs processes, and logistics coordination, as well as hands-on experience with ERP systems. This position reports directly to the Import Export Operations Specialist and plays a key role in ensuring all trade operations are executed efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with local and international regulations. Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare, control, and archive all documentation related to import and export shipments (invoices, packing lists, certificates, customs declarations, etc.).Coordinate and follow up on international shipments from order to delivery, liaising with freight forwarders, customs agents, and suppliers.Ensure full compliance with Turkish and international trade regulations, customs laws, and industry standards.Maintain accurate and timely registration of all trade operations in internal ERP systems.Support end-to-end operational flow for exports and imports, including documentation, customs clearance, transportation, and delivery.Manage relationships with customs offices, inspection agencies, and other related authorities during import/export procedures.Track and monitor shipment timelines, proactively identifying and resolving potential delays or issues.Prepare and share regular operational reports with management, highlighting risks, delays, and process improvement opportunities.Communicate with customers and suppliers on logistics, documentation, and shipping arrangements to ensure seamless coordination.Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on process optimization and cost efficiency across international operations.Support ISO and Authorized Economic Operator (YYS) procedures, audits, and document management when needed.Collaborate with finance and procurement teams for invoice tracking, cost analysis, and budget alignment related to trade operations. QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Foreign Trade, International Relations, Business Administration, or related fields.8+ years of experience in foreign trade, import/export operations, or logistics, preferably in international trade or manufacturing sectors.Proven experience in ERP systems, as well as advanced Excel proficiency.Comprehensive understanding of customs regulations, trade documentation, and import/export procedures.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.Excellent communication and coordination abilities, both in Turkish and English.Proactive, organized, and adaptable to a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.We are excited to hear from you and welcome you to our team!
