What The Role IsYou are responsible for enforcing the adoption of operational safety when carrying out engineering, maintenance and/or operational support activities at activity areas.What You Will Be Working On Enforce adoption of operational safety across groups and centres at diverse locations, particularly during exercises and operations with the aim of reducing accidents/incidents Conduct audits and advise on safety aspects of engineering and maintenance support activities Perform regular safety inspections and visits to groups, centres, ships and installations to ensure compliance with safety regulations Promulgate and drive safety workplan including promotion of safety culture Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure success and ensure targets are met Achieve targets for number of safety audits and safety scans conducted annually Achieve an increase in the number of safety activities conducted during the year Oversee and guide unit safety management committeesChallenge(s) Keeping abreast of latest technological advances in marine, military and industrial safety, especially new equipment and products that enhance safety Analysing root causes of incidents and accidents while anticipating possible safety hazards Thinking critically in developing innovative ways of enhancing safety and promoting a safety cultureWhat We Are Looking For Education in Safety, Systems Review or a related field is preferred Extensive operational expertise and vast knowledge in logistics support planning Ability to serve as principal advisor on all safety matters to senior leadership Strong analytical and critical thinking skillsOnly shortlisted candidates will be notified.
