Job Description
What The Role IsYou are responsible to provide a safe and healthy environment for the servicemen to achieve mission success. This includes safety in training and operations, safe systems for the operators to operate, and elimination of safety hazards within the operating environment.What You Will Be Working On Put in place safeguards to manage the well-being of personnel in the workplace in line with the Ministry of Manpower's concept of Total Workplace Safety and Health (WSH), managing both safety and health in a holistic and integrated manner Cultivate a strong safety culture where safety is internalised as a core value Serve as the secretary for Safety Committee meeting Manage allocated safety funds and utilise funds for safety promotional and engagement activities, production or procurement of safety artefacts and publications, trials for safety initiativesChallenge(s) Anticipating potential safety risks in operations, exercises and trainings Continuously providing advisory to high turn-over rate of ship personnel to comply with established protocol Cultivating and sustaining strong safety cultureWhat We Are Looking For At least a WSQ Specialist Diploma (level C) in workplace and safety, ISO 45001:2018 course Accreditations in Environmental Control Officer Course and Fire Safety Manager Course At least 6 years of extensive operational expertise Stakeholder management skills Ability to write reports and promulgate safety orders Communication skills and critical thinking Willingness to undertake occasional outfield workOnly shortlisted candidates will be notified.
