Room Attendant

The Four Points by Sheraton - Kelowna Airport is currently looking to fill the role of Room Attendant. We are on a bus route, with a stop just outside of the hotel, and also pickup our employees from the bus loop at UBCO!What you will be doing?Reporting to the Housekeeping Manager, you are responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

Must comply while maintaining a neatly groomed appearance and following(uniform clean and name tag on) in accordance to companies uniform standardsArriving at least 10 minutes before the start of your scheduled shiftMust be able to work well in a team atmosphere, as well as independentlyMust have exceptional time management skills and the ability to work well under pressureMust be able to physically perform all cleaning dutiesCleaning all guest rooms within the required time limits (14 guest rooms per day, sometimes more depending on occupancy)Able to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, and accuracyMaintaining the hotels cleaning standards and exceeding standard expectationsWill be required to report maintenance deficiencies.

Notifies management of any damage to guest rooms and ensures rooms are made ready for occupancy. Reporting all health and safety related concernsFollow lost and found procedures, bagging, and tagging accuratelyResponsible for maintaining cleaning tools and carts, reporting deficienciesBeing knowledgeable of our facilities and services, with the ability to promote and direct guests to those areasWelcome and acknowledge guests; anticipate and address guests needsTake and complete all required Brand Training.

Following all Brand Standards requirementsPerforms routine duties in cleaning and servicing guest rooms and public areas, and laundry if need beMaintain linens, towels, and guest supplies in guest roomsAssists in room inspection of the cleaned guest room. Being receptive to feedbackKnowledge of cleaning systems and chemicalsFollow company health & safety and security proceduresCommunicate information to the appropriate hotel personnel on any concerns or issues accuratelyAssisting other departments when necessary and available.

Cross training or working at our sister propertiesDeep Cleaning when assigned, being comfortable working with abrasive chemicals, and using PPE gearAssisting in property walks, parking lot clean upsAvailable to work varied shifts: days, weekends, and holidaysPerform other related duties assigned by the management teamWhat are we looking for?To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviors, skills, and values that follow: Positive attitudeGood communication skillsCommitted to delivering high levels of customer serviceSufficient time management skillsAbility to work on their own and with teamsPerks:
