Job Description

My client, a leading Melbourne based single family office is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Investment Analyst to join their team full-time. Reporting to the CIO, this is an exciting newly created opportunity to support a dynamic investment office managing funds across a diversified portfolio including domestic and international equities, private equity and more. About the RoleAs the Investment Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting both the operational and administrative functions of their investment activities. This includes: Assisting with investment transactions, reporting, reconciliation, and due diligence.

Supporting the CIO and investment team in tracking performance, preparing documentation, and engaging with stakeholders. Managing internal systems and registers, coordinating with external parties for settlements, and maintaining compliance with regulatory frameworksOver time, responsibilities will expand as you grow your investment knowledge and strategic capabilities.

Key ResponsibilitiesTake minutes for the Investment Committee and maintain accurate recordsProcess investment transactions (buy/sell) and maintain registersMonitor and report on fund performance and riskPrepare application documents and liaise with custodians and fund managersEnsure accurate reconciliation and compliance documentationDrive continuous improvement and help implement AI tools and automationCollaborate across internal teams and external stakeholdersAbout YouYou are highly organised, analytical, and motivated to develop your skills in a dynamic investment environment. You enjoy problem-solving, learning, and driving process improvements while maintaining exceptional attention to detail. Essential:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field1-2+ years’ experience in investment operations, fund administration, or financial servicesExcellent Excel and Microsoft Office skillsHigh attention to detail and organisational abilityStrong communication and stakeholder engagement skillsDesirable: Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (ASIC, APRA, IFRS)Ambition to pursue further study (CFA and/or MBA)
