We're supporting a listed life sciences investment management business in their search for an FP&A Analyst to join their high-performing finance team. The role offers the chance to move away from the monthly finance cycle towards working closely with senior leadership across finance, investment, and operations, supporting commercial decision-making, portfolio planning, and fundraising activity. This role will suit someone who enjoys operating in an entrepreneurial, fast-moving environment - someone who can take ownership, think commercially, and make things happen.The role Reporting to the Head of Portfolio Management and FP&A, you'll be responsible for delivering financial insight, forecasting, and portfolio-level analysis to help drive better decision-making across the group. Key responsibilities include:Budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis across multiple entitiesBusiness partnering with budget holders and senior leadership to challenge and influence decisionsOwning and developing the Power BI environment, maintaining data integrity, improving dashboards, and linking portfolio investment models to group forecastsSupporting the long-term capital allocation plan, ensuring alignment between short- and long-term forecastsProducing Board and investor materials, providing clarity around key drivers and assumptionsSupporting the wider finance team on process improvements and ad hoc analysis About you We're looking for a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with a strong foundation in commercial finance and solid analytical capability. You'll bring:Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and business partnering within a commercial or blue-chip environmentStrong technical ability in Power BI and Excel - able to interrogate data, build and adapt models, and spot trendsThe confidence to work autonomously and solve problems independentlyCuriosity and initiative - someone who enjoys improving systems and processes rather than maintaining the status quoExcellent communication skills and the ability to explain financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders A background in investment management, life sciences, or other regulated sectors would be advantageous, but not essential.The detail6-month contract, with a longer-term requirement likely to emerge next yearCentral London location, hybrid working (Tues-Thurs in the office)Opportunity to work alongside an impressive, entrepreneurial finance team in a listed, high-growth environment If you're a commercially-minded finance professional with strong analytical and Power BI skills, and you want to work in a business that combines pace, purpose, and impact - we'd love to hear from you.
