FP&A Analyst – PE-backed SaaS Scale-Up | South ManchesterForge Talent is recruiting an FP&A Analyst for a fast-growing software business. This business is a leader in it's vertical and is on a huge growth trajectory with strong investor backing.This newly created role will be instrumental in building out the finance function, supporting strategic decision-making through robust financial planning, modelling, and performance analysis.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Planning & Budgeting:Lead the development of cost forecasts across departments, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.Own the budgeting cycle, partnering with department heads to validate assumptions and resource needs.Maintain and evolve driver-based financial models to support scenario planning and long-term growth.Performance Analysis & Reporting Monitor actuals vs. budget, highlight key variances, and recommend corrective actions.Deliver monthly reporting packs with insights on cost efficiency, profitability, and operational performance.Support senior leadership with tailored analysis to inform investment decisions and margin improvement.Business Partnering:Act as a trusted advisor to non-finance teams, translating financial data into actionable insights Collaborate with hiring managers and operational leads to plan headcount and resource allocation Influence strategic decisions by providing clarity on cost implications and ROISystems & Process ImprovementWork with finance operations to ensure data accuracy across ERP and HR systems Identify opportunities to automate reporting and streamline planning workflowsChampion the adoption of modern FP&A tools and data-driven solutions to enhance scalability and insight generationRequirements 3–5 years’ experience in FP&A or commercial finance, ideally in SaaS or techStrong financial modelling and analysis skillsQualified or part-qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CFA)Comfortable working with data; SQL knowledge a plusSkilled at simplifying financial concepts for non-finance stakeholdersCommercially minded, proactive, and detail-orientedDesirable Experience in high-growth or scale-up environmentsFamiliarity with SaaS metrics and FP&A toolsInterest in automation, data analytics, and modern finance techBenefits Competitive salary + long-term incentive scheme (Shares)Free parking, meals provided on-site, and wellness facilitiesStrong pension contribution, private medical, life assurance25 days holiday + bank holidaysFlexible working hoursInclusive, collaborative culture with regular team eventsFor more information, apply now.
