What we are looking for: Due to internal movements, we’re looking for an Assistant Accountant to join our high performing team. You’ll work across a range of financial operations areas and will play a crucial role in delivering a high quality service. What your day will look like:
Assisting in preparing monthly financial reports and resolving financial enquiriesInvestigating and advising on revenue and expenditure variances across departmentsDelivering training and support to staff on financial systems and ledger navigationPerforming bank reconciliations, journal processing, and ledger maintenancePreparing and submitting monthly BAS, and assist with FBT reporting and complianceMaintaining and reconciling operational grant funding in line with agreements and auditsAdministering and monitor Council’s purchasing card system and ensure compliancePlease click here to view a full position description. You’ll be a strong communicator with technical accounting knowledge and the ability to explain financial concepts clearly to a range of stakeholders. Your proactive approach, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities will ensure you thrive in this fast-paced environment. You’ll have:
