This role will be instrumental in providing second-line oversight across key fraud risk areas, including payment fraud, account takeover, and identity theft. You'll work closely with the Head of Fraud Risk Oversight to ensure robust fraud prevention and detection practices across Stripe's global operations.ResponsibilitiesFraud Risk Oversight:Act as a domain leader in fraud risk management and compliance for key fraud priorities at StripeProvide second-line oversight of first-line teams managing the fraud risk and control environment, offering strategic and in-depth advice and supportDevelop and maintain fraud risk assessment methodologies and frameworksFraud Monitoring And ReportingDesign and implement fraud monitoring processes to track key risk indicators and emerging fraud threatsPrepare concise, insightful fraud risk reports to inform senior management and improve Stripe's fraud prevention and detection capabilitiesIdentify trends related to Stripe's fraud risk profile and communicate these trends through stakeholder engagementStakeholder EngagementCollaborate and embed with first-line teams to enhance their fraud risk management practicesProvide guidance, training, and support to fraud risk and control owners across the organizationEngage with internal and external stakeholders to gather insights and disseminate fraud risk informationContinuous ImprovementStay informed about Stripe's business and product development, industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in fraud risk managementPropose and implement enhancements to fraud oversight processes, methodologies, and control frameworksWho you areWe're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.Minimum Requirements6+ years of experience in fraud risk management, compliance, or a related field within financial services or fintechStrong understanding of fraud risks in the payments and financial technology sectorsExperience in second-line risk oversight and challenge functions, specifically related to fraudExcellent analytical skills with the ability to translate complex fraud data into clear, actionable insightsStrong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with various stakeholdersProactive and self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentDetail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and qualityAdaptable and comfortable working in an evolving regulatory landscape and fast-paced business environmentKnowledge of machine learning and data analytics techniques used in fraud detection is a plusLocation: We are open to applicants in both Ireland and the UK.Hybrid work at StripeThis role is available either in an office or a remote location (35+ miles or 56+ km from a Stripe office).In-office expectationsOffice-assigned Stripes spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This hits a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for individuals and their teams.Working remotely at StripeA remote location is defined as being 35 miles (56 kilometers) or more from one of our offices. While you would be welcome to come into the office for team/business meetings, on-sites, meet-ups, and events, our expectation is you would regularly work from home rather than a Stripe office. Stripe does not cover the cost of relocating to a remote location. We encourage you to apply for roles that match the location where you currently live or plan to live.Pay and benefitsThe annual salary range for this role in the primary location is €96,000 - €144,000. This range may change if you are hired in another location. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings (“OTE”) range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and specific location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the primary location may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.Specific benefits and details about what compensation is included in the salary range listed above will vary depending on the applicant’s location and can be discussed in more detail during the interview process.
