Aftera Site Survey is complete, you areresponsible forcreating a buildablesolar design that meets all municipality, utility, and financing requirements while ensuring Sales preferences are considered.

 Produce arooftop or ground-mountphotovoltaic layoutusing Aurora, BrightPath, and/or Everbright while taking into consideration external requirements and preferenceIdentifyanyfactorsthat mayaffectthe scope of workincluding project cost, installation complexity and feasibilityCreateandmaintainConstruction plansusing AutoCAD and internal design toolsthat arecompliant with Municipality and Utility requirementsDeterminetheoptimalpoint of interconnection based on existing electrical infrastructure and conditions, with an eye for ease of installationComplete electrical load calculations todeterminethe feasibility of various electrical scopes of workManagea regionalpipeline of Construction Engineering tasks,including new projects, previsions to existing projects, and ticketsWork closely withRegionalBranchestoestablishrapportand a direct lone of communication between Engineering and Field OperationsPerform other duties asassignedWhat Success Looks Like In This RoleAll assigned designs, rework and tickets completed within 24 hoursAchieve 95% qualitywithin a rolling 30-day periodQualification RequirementsEducation & Certifications:

Bachelor's degree in engineering(Civil, Mechanical, Electrical) or similardegreeExperienceMinimum of 3 years of professional design experience in the solar industryExperience with AutoCAD (or equivalent)Previousexperience managing projects frominitialdesign toinstallation, preferredExperience with permitting processes with local authorities havingjurisdiction,preferredKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesAbility to designRoof-Mount andGround-Mount photovoltaicsystemsUnderstanding of relevant Electrical conceptsto Solar, including tie-in methods, redflags, and relevant chapters in the NECCompetencyin basic Structural concepts including residential roof framing types andcomponentsFamiliarity of various roof attachment and racking assemblies, including factorsinfluencing and limiting product choiceStrong communicationskills, including the ability to concisely describe problems,solutions, and needsMust be a team player, focused on achieving team and Company goals ahead of theirownMust work well unsupervised and beself-motivatedPhysical Demands And AbilitiesRegularly spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computersRegularly move from sitting to standing positions effortlesslyRegularly spend long hours in intense concentration reviewing and entering informationinto a computerRegularly usehands and fingers to handle, control or feelobjectsRegularly see details of objects that are less than a few feetawayRegularly speak clearly so listeners canunderstandRegularly understand the speech of another personFrequently work on projects that requiredeadlinesFrequently bend to file andmaintainfilesOccasionally lift 5-10 poundsTRAVEL REQUIREMENTS(Employee is required to travel for business purposes, not including commute to and from work.
