Freelance 2D Animator

Join an exciting opportunity to bring climate education to life for children through engaging, short-form animated content. This role focuses on creating vibrant, playful 2D animations and educational carousels for a children’s climate storytelling brand. The ideal candidate will have a passion for storytelling, a strong sense of visual design, and the ability to translate complex climate topics into fun, accessible content for kids aged 8–12. You will be responsible for producing regular monthly content that inspires, educates, and entertains young audiences across social media platforms.Deliverables Produce 4–6 short-form vertical videos (40–60 seconds each) per month, optimized for platforms like Reels, Shorts, and TikTok Design educational carousels with 5–8 slides per set, featuring bright visuals, bold typography, and a playful, kid-friendly approach Incorporate captions, stickers, and voiceover sync into all video content Adapt stories and concepts from provided materials, including books and real-world climate events Ensure all content is visually consistent, engaging, and age-appropriate for children aged 8–12 Collaborate closely with the author to align on creative direction and educational objectivesRequirements Demonstrated experience in 2D animation, especially for children’s content or educational media Proficiency with animation and design tools such as CapCut, Canva Pro, After Effects, Vyond, or D-ID Strong portfolio showcasing relevant animation and carousel work Ability to create content in a vertical format suitable for social media Excellent sense of color, composition, and playful visual storytelling Skilled in adding captions, stickers, and syncing voiceovers to video Strong communication skills and ability to meet regular monthly deadlines Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently on a long-term freelance basis Availability to start within one weekAbout TwineTwine is a leading freelance marketplace connecting top freelancers, consultants, and contractors with companies needing creative and tech expertise.
