Freelance Data Analyst

This position will be fully remote (work from anywhere) for a 6 month period to temporarily cover for someone on maternity leave. We’re looking for someone who can start in early February. This is a freelance role with an 8 hour per day.ResponsibilitiesAnalyze business needs and create suitable recommendations to help achieve OKRCreate routing monitoring for business unitsUnderstand our data pipeline and create recommendations to save costDelete corrupted data, fix coding errors, or other related problemsDevelop and maintain databases and data systemsReorganizes data into an easy-to-read formatExtracting data from primary and secondary sources using automatic toolsPerform analysis to assess the quality and meaning of dataFilter data by reviewing reports and performance indicators to identify and fix code problemsWork with a team of programmers, engineers, and management leaders to identify process improvement opportunities, propose system modifications, and develop data management strategiesPrepare reports containing trends, patterns and predictions using relevant data. Analyze local, national and global trends that may have an impact on companies and industriesUse statistical tools to identify, analyze, and interpret patterns in complex data sets to aid diagnostics and predictionsQualificationsBachelor's or master's degree in mathematics, business, finance, statistics, economics, or computer scienceHave 1-2 years experience in the data analyst fieldExpert in statistics, datasets, and machine learningExpert in Python, SQL, and LookerStrong critical thinking skills and attention to detailHas consulting experience and ability to assist with troubleshooting and debugging
