Freelance Fashion Designer

Join a creative project focused on developing a premium knitwear capsule collection inspired by Scandinavian minimalism and crafted from Peruvian alpaca wool. This role centers on the design and creative development of a cohesive line, requiring a refined aesthetic and expertise in knitwear. You will collaborate closely with the founder to define silhouettes, textures, and color palettes that reflect timeless Nordic simplicity and luxury. The position is remote and project-based, offering the opportunity to shape the visual and technical foundation of a distinctive collection.Responsibilities Create initial design concepts and moodboards that capture Scandinavian minimalism Develop 3–5 detailed garment designs, including cardigans, sweaters, scarves, and gloves Prepare technical sketches/flats and comprehensive specification sheets for each piece Recommend suitable yarn types and knit structures optimized for Peruvian alpaca wool Ensure all designs are production-ready and align with the collection’s minimalist, high-quality standards Collaborate with the founder to refine creative direction and finalize deliverablesSkills And Requirements Proven experience in knitwear design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating relevant work Deep understanding of Scandinavian aesthetics and minimalist design principles Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or CLO3D for technical sketches and design development Familiarity with natural and sustainable materials, especially alpaca wool Strong attention to detail and ability to translate concepts into production-ready tech packs Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote, project-based setting Availability to start promptly and deliver within agreed project timelinesAbout TwineTwine is a leading freelance marketplace connecting top freelancers, consultants, and contractors with companies needing creative and tech expertise.
