Freelance IT Support Engineer (Immediate Start!)

For a customer in Ghent, I am searching for a freelance IT Support Engineer who can start immediately and provide assistance for 3-6 months improving their Windows environment. You’ll perform hardware replacements, provide direct user and server support, assist in system upgrades, and help streamline their Active Directory environment.Responsibilities (Short-term)Deployment of Windows 11 Pro on custom hardware - 25 PCsHardware replacements (GPU/Disk) - 50 PCsDaily onsite support for the teamResponsibilities (Longer-term)Provide hands-on Windows user support across local and remote teams.Maintain and troubleshoot Windows servers to ensure system stability and performance.Plan and execute Windows 10 to Windows 11 upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption to daily operations.Conduct Active Directory maintenance and cleanup, improving security and organizational efficiency.Collaborate with IT colleagues to document configurations, policies, and best practices.ProfileStrong knowledge of Windows desktop and server operating systems.Experience with Active Directory administration.Understanding of network fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, permissions, and group policies).Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills in English.Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.Familiarity with Azure AD or Office 365 administration.Previous experience with Windows upgrade projects (Win10 → Win11).Additional DetailsSENIORITY: 3-5 years minimumSTART DATE: Immediate (1-2 weeks availability!)DURATION: 6 MonthsEXTENSION: TBCCONTRACT: FreelanceLOCATION: GhentONSITE POLICY: OnsiteHOURS PER WEEK: 40LANGUAGES: Fluent EnglishINTERVIEW PROCESS: 2 stagesIf you are interested, please forward your updated resume to jay.kukoyi@vividresourcing.com to be considered.
