It doesn’t get much bigger than that.Join us as our new Apprentice Parks and Gardens and develop your skills and future career.Find people you can count on, and a lifestyle you loveAs a Parks and Gardens Apprentice, the individual will gain hands-on experience and theoretical knowledge in maintaining and enhancing public parks, gardens, streetscapes, and urban environments. Working within the Greenspace Operations team, you will support daily operations while completing a Certificate III in Parks and Gardens. The role involves practical horticultural tasks, machinery operation, teamwork, and a commitment to safety and learning.You'll Work With a Great Team ToOperate machinery such as mowers, tractors, and small plant equipment for turf and garden maintenance.Perform turfgrass repairs, renovations, and prepare surfaces for sporting events.Plant and maintain garden beds to a high standard, including irrigation installation and repair.Work collaboratively within a team and communicate respectfully with colleagues and the public.Participate in training and work towards completing a Certificate III in Parks and Gardens.What You'll BringTo thrive in this role, you will need:Willingness to learn and commit to a structured apprenticeship program.Good communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions.Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.Good physical fitness.Basic computer skills.We Would Also Love You To HavePrevious experience operating powered and unpowered hand tools.P1, P2 or C Class Drivers LicenceReady for your opportunity?Join us, and help strengthen our community and your career.This position offers an attractive weekly salary ranging from $601.70 to $947.70.To find out more about this role, explore the Position Description and feel free to reach out to our Manager Greenspace Operations on 02 6801 4940 to make an enquiry.If this role sounds like you, we would love to hear from you, simply click Apply Now!This position requires a pre-employment health assessment.
