We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Front Office Manager to join our Grand Mecure Puka Park Team.Grand Mercure Puka Park Resort  boasts a majestic mountainside location at Pauanui Beach on the beautiful Coromandel Peninsula on New Zealand’s North Island. The secluded luxury lodge is set amidst 25 acres of New Zealand native bush, on Mt Pauanui in the Coromandel Peninsula. Only a couple of hours’ drive from Auckland, the resort features luxurious chalet accommodation in an idyllic bush landscape. How You’ll ShineAs the Front Office Manager you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient day-to-day operation of the resort. This position interacts with owners and guests, all resort departments, the community and the corporate office as necessary. You will also be responsible for the following:Motivate and inspire the front office teamDirect and promote a good working relationship between the various resort departments encouraging team workLead the recruitment, hiring and training of all staff, to assure adequate staffing levels at all times, within the budget guidelinesAssist the Resort Manager with the planning, implementing and monitoring of policy and procedureHow You’ll Be RewardedBuild your career with a value driven organisation that promotes continual growth and development for its people. Subsidised private health insurance (following successful probation completion)Professional development fundingDiscounted hotel and resort stays globallyWhat You’ll BringTo be successful in this role, you will have:At least 3 years relevant work experience or; a relevant qualification or above of the New Zealand Qualifications and Credentials Framework (NZQCF) Fluency in English (written and verbal)Proven management abilitiesAvailability and flexibililty to meet with clients to ensure highest standards are met and maintained within reason, this may include working weekend shifts and public holidaysDemonstrated experience in motivating, inspiring, training, coaching and disciplining employeesExcellent communication skills (both written and verbal)Proven ability to recognise and solve problems in the workplaceAbility to multi task and work productively in a fast paced, changing environmentExperience in Resort Hospitality ManagementWhere Memories Start with YouHospitality is at the heart of all we do at Travel + Leisure Co.
