What you can expect as a IT Support Specialist: Receive and respond to incidents and requests for technical assistance from the Service Desk management system.

Provides hands-on, phone, and email support for all hardware and software. Active Directory password resets and account lock outs. Repair Windows and Microsoft Office365 issues. Follow up on open tickets from the Service Desk ticketing system, escalate problems to other IT employees (when appropriate) to obtain timely resolution. Documents, tracks, and monitors the problems to ensure a timely resolution. Follows all department policies and procedures. Coordinate daily job tasks and responsibilities with the Service Desk Supervisor. Hardware moves and installs. Ensure IT inventor is accurate. Recommends improvements to technology and processes based on experience and industry.

What we are looking for as a IT Support Specialist: Certifications or continuing education in Computer Science, Networking, or Information Technology preferred. 2+ years of hands-on technical IT support experienceHardware and software support training or equivalent certificationsAbility to provide PC support and assist with general IT operations. Systems, Hardware, Software, and some Network support experienceMicrosoft office365 and Windows SupportAbility to communicate effectively with nontechnical customers. Ability to spend extended time on telephone supporting customers and troubleshooting issues.
