Job Description

My Dublin based client is recruiting for an IT Operations Manager this is a permanent role. The IT Operations Manager will join a dynamic and forward-thinking IT team within a well-established financial services organisation. Reporting directly to the CIO, this role offers an exciting opportunity to take ownership of IT operations within the Irish division of a global enterprise. You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day management of the IT environment—ensuring systems are available, secure, and high-performing while also contributing to strategic planning and infrastructure development.

Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the organisation’s IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, cloud environments, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity systems. Provide leadership and direction to IT team members, supporting professional development through regular performance reviews and training. Align IT operations with organisational policies on disaster recovery and business continuity. Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service-level agreements, ensuring optimal performance from third-party providers and technology partners. Oversee proactive monitoring of hardware and software systems to ensure consistent service delivery and identify opportunities for enhancement. Collaborate with external service providers to uphold security and compliance standards across all IT systems.

Supervise IT support functions and coordinate with internal and external support teams. Identify and mitigate IT operational risks. Contribute to the development and enforcement of IT policies, procedures, and governance frameworks. Maintain oversight of software licensing and compliance with regulatory and internal requirements. RequirementsProven experience managing cloud-based technologies (e. g. , Microsoft Azure, Office 365). Demonstrated ability to manage complex IT systems and third-party tools. In-depth understanding of cybersecurity, data protection, and compliance frameworks. Familiarity with IT service management frameworks (e. g. , ITIL). Hands-on experience with system installation, configuration, and troubleshooting. Solid understanding of network security, firewalls, and access protocols.

Strong leadership skills with a focus on problem-solving and decision-making. Role is primarily based in Dublin, with occasional travel to regional offices as needed. Education & ExperienceA degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior IT management or operations role.
