Network Engineer

Our Dublin based client are looking for a Network Engineer to join their team This is a permanent position with a market leading organization who have an excellent reputation and strong Technology team in Dublin Position will report into the IT Infrastructure Manager and offer a great career opportunity and chance for progression and development ResponsibilitiesSupport the maintenance and monitoring of the organization’s network infrastructure. Assist senior team members in ensuring network reliability, security, and performance. Monitor and resolve user reported network infrastructure Resolve issues that are assigned via the IT Service Desk ticketing system.

Analyse network problems, perform root cause analysis, and ensure preventative measures are put in place. Assist in the configuration and maintenance of networking hardware and softwareMonitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and escalate as needed. Provide first-line support for network-related incidents and service requests. Assist with the deployment and documentation of new network infrastructure projects. Liaise with external vendors and service providers as required. Stay current with networking trends and technologies to support ongoing development. Undergoing training and development as and when required as part of the role Performing other duties that may be required from time to time.

QualificationsQualifications or experience in relevant Azure/Windows technologies. Qualifications or experience in networking technologies, including virtual networks. Experience required A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 2/3+ years' experience in a similar roleUnderstanding of core networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc. ). Be familiar with network hardware such as routers, switches, and firewalls. Have an understanding of OSI model. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
