Internal Job advertisement: Group Financial Controller Location: Wiehl in Germany (office based)Department: Finance and accounting Reporting line: Management Remuneration range: €60k-€90k Become part of FS Animal Health! To strengthen our finance team, we are looking for a committed and reliable personality with a strong understanding of numbers and an international mindset. Your Tasks: 1. Financial Planning & Analysis Develop and manage annual budgets and forecasts for all four country entities Consolidate financial data across countries for group-level reporting Perform variance analysis and provide insights to management Monitor key financial KPIs and trends across markets Support strategic decision-making with financial modelling and scenario planning 2. Reporting & Compliance Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with local GAAP and group standards Ensure compliance with statutory requirements in each country (e.g., HGB in Germany, FRS in UK, PCG in France) Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors in each jurisdiction Maintain documentation for intercompany transactions and transfer pricing policies Support regulatory filings and tax declarations across countries 3. Accounting Oversight Supervise and support local accounting teams or external service providers Ensure accurate and timely month-end closings for each entity Review and approve journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations Monitor intercompany balances and ensure proper elimination in group consolidation Oversee fixed asset accounting and depreciation schedules 4. Treasury & Cash Management Monitor cash flow and liquidity across all entities Manage intercompany funding and cash pooling arrangements Coordinate foreign currency transactions and hedging strategies Liaise with banks and financial institutions in different countries 5. ERP & Systems Management Oversee the use and integration of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central across countries Ensure consistency in chart of accounts, cost centers, and reporting structures Drive automation and digitalization of finance processes using AI-supported tools Train and support finance teams in system usage and upgrades 6. Cross-Border Collaboration Act as the key finance contact for international coordination between Germany, UK, France, and the fourth country Facilitate regular communication and alignment with country managers and finance teams Support group-wide initiatives such as cost optimization, pricing strategies, and investment planning Ensure cultural and regulatory nuances are considered in financial decisions 7. Strategic Projects Lead or support M&A activities, including financial due diligence and integration Participate in strategic planning and business reviews Implement best practices in financial governance and internal controls Contribute to ESG reporting and sustainability initiatives, if applicable Your profile: Completed commercial training with a focus on accounting or comparable qualification Several years of professional experience in financial accounting Very good written and spoken English and German skills (for international communication) Confident handling of Business Central or comparable ERP systems Interest in digital solutions and openness to new technologies Structured, careful and independent way of working Ability to work in a team, discretion and sense of responsibility We offer: An international working environment with plenty of room for initiative Collegial team and open corporate culture Flexible working hours Further training opportunities and development prospects Attractive remuneration and social benefits Active participation in the digitization and automation of financial processes Interested?
