The opportunityWe are currently looking for individuals with experience working in the Insurance sector or advising Insurance clients and who possess strong risk management, regulatory and internal controls knowledge to join the Financial Services Risk Management team in EYYour Key ResponsibilitiesAs part of a team of professionals, provide advisory services to clients on the development and implementation of policies, systems and controls, and regulatory issues Provision of regulatory compliance, risk assessment, business process controls and operational projects, including the development of project plans and approachDesign, enhancement, implementation and review of risk and compliance programsThe assessment of enterprise-wide, operational and/or regulatory risk at all levels of the client’s corporate structureAnalyse client’s current business processes and understand their risk management environmentsAssist clients in understanding and meeting regulatory requirements, including responding to the findings of regulatory examinationsReview policies and procedures against Hong Kong regulatory requirements and against international best practices, identify opportunities for enhancement, assist clients in developing an implementation strategy and resolve implementation issuesMaintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory developments both locally and internationallyDevelop business opportunities and potential openings with clients Skills And Attributes For SuccessExperience in analysing or advising clients / business stakeholders on current and emerging Hong Kong risk and regulatory matters will be a definite advantageAbility to interact with executive levels of client and EY managementRequirements:To qualify for the role you must haveUniversity degree majoring in risk management, accounting, analytics, actuarial, information systems or business related subjectsKnowledge and hands-on experience with Hong Kong, APAC and global insurance regulationsPractical experience across disciplines such as enterprise risk / operational risk / conduct risk / third party risk / regulatory advisory / internal controls / regulatory risk management / risk analytics / risk and internal control frameworksExperience in the financial services industry, preferably in a international accounting/advisory/consulting organization or multinational insurance company or insurance regulator Knowledge in analyzing regulations and proposed regulatory changesExcellent communication and presentation skillsStrong communication skills in English and Chinese (spoken and written) Ideally, you’ll also haveWorking knowledge of Insurance Risk Based Capital regimes (Pillar 2 / ERM), Financial Risk, Product Risk, Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA), Stress and Scenario testingAn understanding of industry standards for internal controls / risk management such as COSO ERM/ICF, ISO 31000, COBIT etc Experience using eGRC platforms such as RSA Archer, Metricstream, BWise, Refinitiv, Openpages etcAn understanding of insurance distribution modelsEffective time management and project management, interpersonal and influencing skills are essentialClient-service oriented and accustomed to taking a proactive approachRelevant professional qualifications such as HKICPA, CFA, FRM are preferred Strong project management and coordination skills An international outlook having worked for large multinational clients or across multiple geographiesWhat Working At EY OffersSupport, coaching and feedback from some of the most engaging colleagues aroundOpportunities to develop new skills and progress your careerThe freedom and flexibility to handle your role in a way that’s right for youIf you can confidently demonstrate that you meet the criteria above, please contact EY professionals as soon as possible.Join EY in building a better working world.
