The developer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, test, and maintain web applications. Day-to-day tasks include front-end and back-end coding, debugging, and optimizing performance. The role involves contributing to software design discussions and ensuring seamless integration between user-facing and server-side components.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain REST APIs (Django or Node.js)Implement new features and system modulesImprove app performance and cachingFix bugs and refactor existing codeWork with React/React Native frontendsCollaborate on architecture decisionsImplement integrations (PawaPay, notifications, etc.)Bonus SkillsFastAPI, Next.js or TypeScriptExperience with caching, search optimization, performance tuningFamiliarity with Sentry, PostHog, or monitoring toolsExperience with mobile money integrationsQualificationsProficiency in Front-End Development, including experience with React and CSSExpertise in Back-End Web Development with Django and/or Node.jsStrong understanding of Full-Stack Development and Software Development principlesExperience with responsive design and cross-browser compatibilityGood problem-solving abilities and attention to detailAbility to work independently and communicate effectively in a remote environmentBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferredFamiliarity with agile methodologies is a plus
