Full Stack Engineer - Ghana - 3 month contractAbout Bigsparkbigspark, a UK based consultancy delivering next level data platforms and solutions with a focus on exciting technologies including Apache Spark, Apache Kafka and working on projects within Machine Learning, Data Engineering, Streaming and Data Science is looking for a Full Stack Engineer to join our offshore team in Ghana on a permanent basis in a remote, work from home capacity.We provide the backbone for modern analytics to our clients through expertise in DevOps, distributed computing, machine learning and adoption of proven open source projects. We specialise in backend development, infrastructure automation and performance engineering for data workloads at scale.Your RoleIn your hands-on role of Full Stack Engineer you willAdhere and contribute to our delivery principlesDevelop scalable and maintainable code for both front-end and back-end componentsInteract with stakeholders and program management to understand client requirementsSolution Design - Using predefined architectural components to agree an acceptable designDeliver software development for clients, whilst collaborating with team members at various levels across the globeYour Skills, Experience And QualificationsEducated to at least BSc (Hons) level - preferably in Computer Science, Data Science or MathematicsAt least 3-5 years in a commercial software environmentCommercial experience in Backend/API Development in PythonExperienced in JavaScript frameworks, ideally React Experience with SQL (e.g. PostGres, MySQL), REST integrationKnowledge of Libraries such as Play, Akka, Spring, Struts, Flask, FastApi, Django etcUnderstanding of version control and Git based workflowAgile Development MethodologiesExcellent communication and problem-solving skillsFlexible in learning and working with new technologies
