In this role, you will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing insightful analysis to help our clients make informed decisions. This is a remote position, suitable for candidates looking to work on a full-time basis.ResponsibilitiesManage and oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payrollPrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reportsEnsure compliance with relevant financial regulations and lawsConduct audits and implement financial controls to safeguard company assetsAssist clients with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planningAnalyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-makingCollaborate with clients to address inquiries and resolve financial issuesImplement best practices in accounting and financial managementStay updated on current accounting standards and industry trendsRequirementsProven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role; not for beginners—must have strong, practical accounting experience. Capable of handling complex reconciliations, financial reporting, and managing accounting systems. Familiarity with payroll processing is a plus. Experience with tax preparation and compliance is advantageous. Deep understanding of U.S. state sales tax, especially for e-commerce, including nuanced multi-state requirements and filings, with hands-on experience using VertexProficiency in accounting software: QuickBooks, Xero, or equivalent, with demonstrated experience managing accounts. Advanced bookkeeping and accounting knowledge. Hands-on experience with ERP systems, preferably NetSuite, including managing integrations and workflows. Proficiency in MS Excel and other relevant AI software. Practical understanding of accounting logic, data flow, and system integrationsAbility to work independently and remotely while managing time effectively. Strong problem-solving skills and proactive approach to handling tasks. Able to collaborate effectively with a U.S.-based team across time zones and cultures. Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Clear verbal and written communication skillsAvailable for a full-time contractor commitment. Proactive in identifying errors, improving processes, and managing tasks efficiently.
