Tasks and ResponsibilitesWith a view to the FMB's long-term growth and financial sustainability, and in order to strengthen and diversify the FMB's relations with strategic partners and funders, the high-level objectives for the Programme and Impact Manager are as follows:
Ensure adequate administrative and financial (non-technical) supervision of projects;Ensure good coordination between projects and their executors;Maintaining and developing the FMB's relationship with local/national and international funders;Seeking new funding and preparing proposals;Ensuring the collection of annual indicators relating to the FMB's Strategic Plan (2022-2027) within the Foundation's Monitoring Plan;Other activities requested by the Board and appropriate to their experience and capabilities. To this end, the post-holder will work closely with FMB Director, the Board of Directors, the FMB finance and coordination team and the main national and international partners and funders.
Specific Tasks Supervising and supporting the FMB's project managers/coordination and technical team in the administrative and financial management of projects. Hold monthly meetings to monitor the Action Plans and the implementation of project budgets. Carrying out and/or assisting in the completion of the Technical and Financial Reports for the projects developed by the FMB. Ensuring proper coordination between the different FMB programmes, including the finance team, with regard to the implementation of project activities and respect for funders' deadlines. Maintaining proper communication with funders, ensuring funder accountability and satisfaction, working with FMB staff and management.
Ensure ongoing monitoring and evaluation of new funding opportunities, as well as proposal writing. Supporting the FMB team and management in developing and submitting suitable project proposals to funders. Reviewing and developing internal management, monitoring and evaluation processes - ensuring that the FMB has processes appropriate to its size and responsibilities. Coordinating and collecting data on the impacts of the Foundation's Strategic Plan (2022-2027) within the FMB's Monitoring and Evaluation plan. Supporting communication, namely reviewing newsletters, annual reports and updating and supervising project-related news. Essential experience: Managerial experience in a relevant fieldThree years’ experience of project and financial management, including experience in a developing countryProven experience in fundraising and writing funding proposalsSuccess in building long-term relationships with international agencies, corporations or funding bodies to develop and finance projectsProven experience of improving management, monitoring and evaluation processesHighly computer literate particularly Microsoft ExcelFluent in Portuguese and English, or proven ability to learn languages quickly to a professional level. Salary and BenefitsThe Programme and Impact Manager will receive a competitive remuneration package within the context of Cabo Verde and dependant on experience. Benefits will include: Net salary of €590-€680 p. m. / 65 000 ECV – 75 000 ECV p. m. Suitable accommodation provided and paid for by FMB (€225/25 000 ECV p. m.
