Job Description

DescriptionOur client is a UK-based, mission-driven organisation committed to ensuring companies treat people with respect and dignity. Working at the intersection of business and human rights, the organisation supports global companies to embed ethical practices into their operations and decision-making. They are hiring a Remote Executive Assistant to directly support the organisation’s Founder. This role is central to the smooth functioning of the organisation and will cover diary and inbox management, coordination of meetings and projects, administrative research, and internal process support.

Candidates with an interest in communications and outreach may also support content creation and social media activity. This is a remote position open to those living anywhere in South Africa.

Duties & ResponsibilitiesProvide proactive, day-to-day administrative support to the FounderManage the Founder’s inbox and calendar, flagging key priorities and handling schedulingPrepare for meetings by organising agendas, compiling documents, and capturing key actionsCoordinate domestic and international travel arrangements, including itineraries and logisticsDraft, format, and edit presentations, reports, and briefing documents in Word, PowerPoint, and PDFConduct research on internal topics such as team retreats, HR policies, and sponsorship optionsResearch and implement tools to improve efficiency and organisation-wide effectivenessAssist with contracting and basic finance support using ExcelTrack internal and client project timelines, following up on open tasks and deadlinesCreate and maintain internal systems and processes to support smooth operationsAct as a thought partner to help prioritise work, reduce inefficiencies, and anticipate needsCreate visual content for social media in Canva, based on guidance from the teamDraft, schedule, and post content to platforms like LinkedInSupport the organisation’s overall communications plan and online engagement strategyOccasionally assist with personal or family-related research tasks (e.

g. travel, logistics, transport options)Skills, Experience & Requirements4+ years’ experience in an Executive Assistant, Personal Assistant, or senior-level admin roleExperience supporting C-suite or senior leadership remotelyStrong written and verbal communication skills in EnglishExcellent organisational and time management skillsHigh level of discretion, reliability, and professionalismProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Workspace, and task tools (e. g.

Trello, Asana, Notion)Able to manage competing priorities calmly and independentlyStrong attention to detail and ability to follow through on open tasksComfortable conducting independent research and summarising findings clearlyTech-savvy and confident using cloud platforms and automation toolsInterest or experience in social media content creation and communication tools (Canva, Buffer, etc. ) is a bonusExperience in values-driven or purpose-led organisations is an advantageFriendly, proactive, and committed to supporting meaningful, high-quality workLoad SheddingApplicants must be able to ensure they can maintain internet and power during office hours.
