Job Description

Lead Borescope Inspector – SPAH TeamLocation: Helsinki-Vantaa Airport, FinlandGA Telesis Engine Services (GATES), a steadily growing and international Jet Engine MRO located in Finland’s capital region, is looking for a Jet Engine Inspector to join our Hospital Shop Visit (SPAH) Team, which specializes in performing special procedure workscopes for CFM56-5B, CFM56-7B, and CF6-80C2 engines. As a SPAH Lead Inspector, you will lead the SPAH Inspection Team, which is responsible for all engine incoming and outgoing inspection tasks.

You will plan, coordinate, and execute the work together with your team to ensure quality and efficiency.

ResponsibilitiesTake ownership of engine incoming and outgoing works such as borescope inspection, visual inspection, QEC/Component inventory read out, MPD tasks, post test build up and shipment preparationAct as a supervisor for your team, plan their work and support their developmentPerform borescope and engine visual inspectionsPlan investments and maintenance for the tooling of your departmentCreate inspection reports for customer and be point of contact for questionsParticipate in internal & cross department meetings, provide updates regarding the ongoing workCarry out additional tasks as assigned by a supervisor or managerRequirements:

High school diploma or equivalent requiredA&P License requiredYou need to be an expert in engine borescope inspections with a minimum 5 years of experience on CFM56-5B/-7B engine types in the line maintenance/operator environment. CF6-80C2 engine experience is a plusGood knowledge and understanding of AMM inspectionsFamiliar with engine visual and special procedure inspectionsAbility to manage multiple work orders at the same time together with the team. Excellent collaboration and communication skills. Fluent English skills, both written and spoken (Finnish is a plus). Proactive mindset with a strong problem-solving attitude and goal-oriented approach.
