SummaryThis role oversees all marketing, advertising, promotional, and business development activities. It provides firm-wide leadership in marketing strategy, client engagement, and brand development. The position manages vendor relations and identifies new business opportunities to align with the company’s strategic goals. Essential ResponsibilitiesDevelops and administers overall marketing plan. Performs project-specific and market research to support proposals and strategic planning. Monitors, tracks, and coordinates responses to major public Requests for Qualifications (RFQ’s) and Requests for Proposals (RFP’s).
Oversees the design and preparation of marketing collateral, publicity materials, and associated documents, to improve the marketing of the company and its services. Coordinates and prepares materials for client presentations and interviews, in accordance with company branding. Maintains photographs of ongoing project progress and finished product. Manages promotional product inventory in conjunction with Executive Assistant. Maintains regular contact with all company departments to stay informed on service developments. Attends networking events and professional association meetings for business development. Conducts client satisfaction surveys and identifies areas for service improvement.
Maintains an awareness of developments in the fields of marketing and research to ensure the company continues to compete effectively. Provides expertise on business development strategies and market trends. Manages the Client Appreciation Program and facilitates internal marketing meetings. Maintains and updates the marketing database, GCW website, and social media channels with a content calendar and strategy, including leading reoccurring meetings with the Social Media Committee. Some travel may be required. Knowledge, Skills, And AbilitiesExcellent writing, editing, and presentation skills, particularly in translating technical content for targeted messaging. Ability to balance multiple deadlines across proposals, campaigns, and marketing initiatives.
Knowledge of marketing tools, CRM systems, and social media platforms. Understanding of the civil engineering and professional services industry, including qualifications-based selection (QBS) and client development practices. Familiarity with SOQ/RFP/RFQ responses, teaming strategies, and coordination with technical staff. Understanding of conferences, sponsorships, and speaking engagements relevant to the A/E/C industry. Skilled in managing the proposal lifecycle, including content creation, layout, compliance, and deadlines. Elevate firm visibility through strategic branding, awards, publications, and partnerships. Ability to maintain consistency in messaging across proposals, presentations, digital platforms, and collateral materials.
Ability to create and execute long-term marketing plans aligned with business development and firm-wide goals.
