Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC)Location: Onsite – Austin, TXRate: $70K annually (W2 and 1099 only)Position Overview: This QA Engineer Automated 3 role supports quality assurance efforts for mission-critical projects at the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC). The selected candidate will design, develop, and maintain both manual and automated test scripts in support of software testing processes. This role requires strong experience in test automation frameworks (WebdriverIO or similar), Agile methodologies, and tools like Jira, XRay, and Selenium. The candidate will play a vital role in ensuring accurate and efficient testing for development, UAT, and production environments.
Responsibilities: Design and develop automated test cases using WebdriverIO or similar toolsCreate and maintain scripts for both automated and manual testingPerform manual testing when required and ensure accurate execution trackingSchedule and execute automated test cases regularly and provide detailed reportingUse Jira to log and monitor defects throughout the lifecycleDevelop and maintain requirement traceability matricesParticipate actively in Agile development teams and support testing across dev, test, UAT, and productionLead UAT testing efforts as needed and provide on-call support when requiredTroubleshoot and update test cases as necessary to meet system and performance needsQualifications:
