Introduction SentenceFor our new location at Keflavik airport, Island Duty Free we are recruiting aYour new job includesAs a People & Culture Generalist, you will be responsible for driving and supporting key HR initiatives across the organization, ensuring a positive employee experience and a strong company culture. In particular you willlead recruitment processes in collaboration with hiring managers, including handling employment contracts and supporting onboarding activities and drive our Employer Branding drive learning and development initiatives, including the implementation of educational activities and preparation of employee KPIs.

support leaders as a sparring partner in disciplinary matters, difficult conversations, and general leadership development. ensure compliance with HR legal requirements, manage personal data, and maintain up-to-date employment documentation. promote a positive and inclusive culture, championing diversity, equity, and inclusion in line with the company’s Diversity Pact. manage internal communication and HR processes, including absence reporting, People & Culture updates on internal platforms, and participation in cross-functional projects. Preferred ProfileA bachelor’s degree and experience in a similar role, or equivalent proven experience through relevant training and responsibilities.

Excellent command of English and Icelandic, both written and spoken, to communicate effectively in a global and multicultural environment. Strong organizational skills, combined with a solution-oriented and hands-on approach to confidently manage challenges and daily operations. Proactive mindset, with the ability to continuously improve processes and culture, and the openness to change required to lead and support transformation initiatives. Proven communication and stakeholder management skills, enabling effective collaboration across teams and departments. Experience in reporting and analysis within People & Culture, as well as in planning and executing learning and development activities.
