This network spans 10,000 employees and 50,000 field resources, across 70 countries.Role OverviewThe successful candidate will be a General Claims Adjuster for the Technical Services Team and will be working in a hybrid set up in Mississauga, Ontario. They will be actively involved in evaluating multi-line claims with a focus on property (commercial and personal lines) claims through loss investigation, and be responsible for negotiating settlements in accordance with provincial licensing requirements, while maintaining adequate production levels and customer relationships.ResponsibilitiesReviews and analyzes experts’ reportsSelects and directs independent expertsIdentifies and pursues subrogation opportunitiesSecures and manages litigation disposition plans and budgetsDetailed recording of file activities and transactions in both Crawford and Company and client based systemsMaintains accurate expense accountsWork with manager to maintain client relationAbility to liaise and work with all facets of the insurance community including brokers, risk managers, legal counsel and regulatorsQualifications5 or more years of functional and technical claims handling experience in large loss, commercial claims and liabilityIdeal candidate will have a construction and property background specializing in project management, quantification and appraisalCommercial policy interpretation and experience making recommendations to the marketLicensed or working towards CIP and/or FCIP designationStrong report writing skillsMust be a team player with outstanding customer service skillsWillingness to work in a dynamic environment with opportunity for career growthAbout Us - Why Crawford?Because a claim is more than a number — it’s a person, a child, a friend.
