As a Network Administrator Associate, you will join our team with responsibilities for the management and maintenance of site network devices.

You will maintain network device configurations, troubleshoots performance and routing issues, supports engineers in the deployment and validation of patching and upgrades, and implements standard approved changes to ensure network system availability, performance, and security. You will provide analysis and monitoring of network infrastructure and network performance. You will also assist in proactive network monitoring, network management, and network infrastructure planning. HOW A NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR ASSOCIATE WILL MAKE AN IMPACT: Manages the functionality and efficiency of computer networks (LAN/WAN). Monitors data traffic/network performance and controls network resource performance to ensure high-quality transmission. Troubleshoots and resolves problems.

Collaborates directly with GDIT team leads and AF client on planning and proceduresAbility to operate under supervisionExecute day-to-day management and operations of systems and networksManage COTS & GOTS products to collect, display and remediate a variety of automated system security and system operations/performance functions and metricsFollow Operations and Maintenance (O&M) checklists to maintain the service (daily, weekly, monthly, yearly O&M checklists); build Tactics, Techniques and Processes (TTPs) and Standard Operating Processes (SOPs) associated with service checklistsOperate monitoring tools/capabilities with the enterprise security information and event management (SIEM) and create/tailor complex event alarms/rules and summary reportsAssist in analyzing technical risk, upon request, of emerging cybersecurity tools and processesWork as part of a security incident response team as neededMaintains network to meet Enterprise Service Availability and Service Level Agreement requirements.

Utilizes IT Service Management (ITSM) Principles to identify, categorize, prioritize, escalate, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents. Maintains network security and ensures compliance with security policies and procedures. Participates in the development and implementation of network-related procedures and standards. Interfaces with vendors to ensure appropriate resolution during network outages or periods of reduced performance. Assists with the development of third-party monitoring actions and procedures for network infrastructure. Current DoD 8570 IAT level II (CompTIA Security+ CE or similar)Education: Technical Training, Certification(s) or DegreeExperience: 1+ years of related experience Technical Skills: Experience working directly with hardware vendors involved in the incident resolution process. Provides Tier II support for problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems. Supports the timely escalation and communication of status to external and internal customers. Experience with various software systems and architectures, communications protocols: and network hardware devices.
