Job Description

Description: About The RoleThe General Hand role is responsible for assisting the facilities and medical stores team with general tasks, organising the movement of theatre crates, transporting deliveries around the campus and helping with heavy manual tasks. This is an entry level position where on the job training is provided. This is a fixed term role offered at 1. 0 FTE or 40 hours per week to be worked Monday to Friday from September to December 2025. Specific duties include: To assist in the maintenance activities relating to building appearance upkeep on the Mercy campus.

To assist in maintaining the grounds of Mercy campus. To ensure deliveries of all supplies around the campus are made in a timely manner. Skills and Experiences: Skills and Experience: Computer LiteracyTime managementProblem solvingGeneral labouring skills and experienceBasic mechanical knowledgeKnowledge of grounds maintenanceHolds a current NZ drivers licenseTo be eligible for employment at Mercy Hospital Dunedin, applicants will be required to provide vaccination history.
