General Labourer (Modular Maintenance and Repairs)

Like a diamond we look for people who will grow stronger and shine brighter in a fast pace and challenging environment.We have a full-time permanent position for a Service Technician to join our Stoney Creek Branch in Ontario.The ideal candidate will be a well- rounded general contractor or handyman, with experience in areas such as flooring, window and wall repairs and exterior siding.The role is responsible for attending service calls and would require 80% of travel and 20% yard work - cleaning, maintenance and repair to ensure that our Modular fleet is in optimal condition for our customers.Duties & ResponsibilitiesComplete general labor type duties including cleaning, painting and moving units in the yardLoading/Unloading of decks, ramps, furniture and other items as neededAssisting with managing warehouse inventory & shelving systems for the branchFloor repairs, including tile workWall building and repairsInstalling Kitchenettes, toilets, and sinksExterior Steel Siding WorkFitting and Installing Windows, Doors, Molding’s and HardwareCleaning of Modular UnitsPerforming Yard/shop maintenance and clean upMaterial handlingGeneral, Rough and Finish Carpentry, and FramingAssisting with planning for upcoming projectsOther duties as assignedQualification:2-4 years of general laborer experience and/or in general maintenanceValid Driver’s license and clean driving abstract is requiredWillingness to travel to customer site within the local service area (some overnight expected)Modular or trailer/RV experience would be an assetAble to work in a fast-paced environment, while juggling multiple priorities and managing deadlinesPositive attitude, with strong work ethic and team playerProblem solving abilitiesStrong written and verbal communication skillsFall protection, First Aid Certification and WHMIS an assetForklift ticket an assetAble to pass a pre-employment criminal records check and Drug and Alcohol TestingComfortable using a tabletPhysical Requirements :Comfortable with working outdoors in all weatherMust be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.Must be able to complete physically demanding duties, including but not limited to standing for long periods, repetitive movementBOXX Modular is a subsidiary of Black Diamond Group.
