General Ledger Accountant

Opportunity – General Ledger Accountant | Permanent role📍 Bratislava | International Group – Financial Services & TechnologyI am recruiting, on behalf of my client, a General Ledger Accountant to join a leading international company recognized for its collaborative, multicultural, and innovative culture.This role sits at the heart of accounting and finance operations, offering diverse and stimulating responsibilities within a fast-growing organization.Main responsibilities:Manage general ledger accounting and monthly, quarterly, and year-end closingsPerform asset reconciliations and coordinate inventory with local teamsSupport payroll accounting and explain variances in collaboration with HRCalculate and monitor intercompany recharges and perform financial trend analysesHandle accruals, P&L, and balance sheet reconciliationsPrepare financial reports, analyses, and ad-hoc presentations for managementParticipate in internal controls, audits, and contribute to automation and standardization projects What they are looking for: Solid knowledge of IFRS accounting standardsExperience with SOX controls and general ledger processes4–5 years of relevant finance experience,A degree in Finance or Economics (ACCA certification is a plus)Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in EnglishProficiency in Excel and familiarity with accounting systemsWhy join this company:Dynamic international environment that values autonomy, collaboration, and transparencyHybrid working model (2 days in the office / 3 days remote)Strong focus on innovation, continuous learning, and positive impact through sustainability initiatives
