In this critical role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and providing critical support in month-end processes while ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical abilities, excellent problem-solving skills, and a thorough understanding of accounting principles.If you are dedicated to precision, have a passion for numbers, and thrive in a collaborative environment, we invite you to apply and contribute to our continued success.Key responsibilities:Maintain General Ledger Accounts: Ensure the proper maintenance and accuracy of all general ledger accounts, including posting journal entries and reconciling discrepanciesMonth-End and Year-End Close: actively participate in the month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing and maintaining various financial reports, accruals calculations and review, ensuring all entries are recorded correctly and in compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulationsAccount Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of balance sheet accounts to verify and ensure accuracy and integrity of financial dataPayroll journals booking, corrections, and reconciliations, including involvement in resolving issues for various entities, and cooperation with the payroll team as well as the external payroll providersAccounting entries: Preparation and recording of accounting adjustments, including addressing one-off accounting issues and making data-driven amendments as neededAudit: Support external audits by providing requested information and addressing any audit queries. Financial statements: Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements, including collaboration with external advisors and preparation of supporting schedulesProcess Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting and accounting proceduresCross-Department Collaboration: Collaborate with other teams, such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Financial Planning & Analysis, to provide financial insights and support organizational initiativesQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field3+ years of experience in an accounting/finance role, with General Ledger experience a mustStrong accounting expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of accruals, payroll, fixed assets accounting, and month-end close processesProficiency in Google Sheets and/or Microsoft ExcelIFRS and financial statements knowledge is a plusFamiliarity with Netsuite is a plusExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detailStrong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across various finance departmentsAbility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple prioritiesStrong command of English language Additional InformationSmartRecruiters is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
