You'll be genuinely valued and empowered as an integral part of our team.This a brilliant permanent opportunity offering Monday-Friday, 8-4 hours and paying a competitive salary and company benefits.About The RoleThe General Maintenance Assistant is a vital role, this role requires you to work as part of our support team to help ensure that the highest standard of maintenance is achieved throughout the home. You will be required to carry out your duties in an efficient and timely manner, ensuring our residents have a clean and tidy environment at all times.Being a team player and attention to detail is essential to this role. No experience is required, all we ask is that you are willing to learn and have a Can Do attitude. You will be provided with full training on the cleaning routine within the home and how to work safely, which products to use and how to work specialist equipment.Responsibilities Of a General Maintenance Operative To carry out day to day maintenance of the building, its services and grounds in order to ensure that the home is maintained in a safe and efficient functional order, i.e. plumbing and joinery Responsibility for all maintenance, fire and health and safety checks as advised by the Home Manager. Maintain a “Maintenance Book” in which defects are recorded by Staff Members. Use this book to effect repairs/replacements daily.
