General Manager - (Manufacturing / Factory - Apparel)

Job ResponsibilitiesResponsible on day to day factory operation, to provide the managerial leadership to the Factory Management team, create a conducive working environment and make optimum use of resources to produce garments that meet the customer’s quality, timeliness, and quantity specifications, within the Plant’s cost and performance expectations.Duties included but not limited to:Plant Targets: Responsible on day-to-day factory operation and contribute to Annual Operating Plan.Structure: Continuously improve the Factory organization structure, sewer non sewer ratio, role profiles and cross-functional work process flows to optimize the effective recruitment, deployment, and direction of people in ManufacturingProduction Capacity Planning: Work with Production Managers & Asst Sewing manager to plan and prepare total Factory capacity (efficiency, SMV, headcount) in line with order projections.Factory Performance Monitoring: Monitor and report performance against agreed targets/budget, assess reasons for deviation, act to solve output shortfalls, and give early warning to PMC & Marketing on production problems to help avoid negative surprises for the customer.Line Loading: Work with the Planner to assign orders to Production lines to optimize individual line and Factory output.Continuous Monitoring: Continuously monitor and adjust line order loading to optimize individual line and Factory output.Business Context: Communicate the “bigger picture” context in which direct reports need to plan and execute workCollaborative Teamwork: Establish process for meeting regularly and holding direct reports accountable for effective and collaborative teamwork between departments, at their levelREQUIREMENTS:Bachelor’s degree of all majors preferable in Industrial EngineeringMinimum 15 years’ experience in garment manufacturers (lingerie, bonding or knits) of which at least 5 years in managerial or executive positionExperience in Bonding product manufacturing is preferableProven track records in managing a large-scale garment manufacturing operation in MoroccoKnow about business analysis in case of production, knowledge in Lean manufacturing is preferableWith strong abilities in problem solving and conflict resolution.Strong written and verbal communication skills in Arabic, English and French
