Job Title: General Manager, BSA Part 147 Training AcademyLocation: Luton Airport Job Type: Full-TimeReports To: BSA Board of Directors Position Summary:As the General Manager of our Part 147 Training Academy, you will oversee all aspects of the academy’s operations, ensuring the company maintains the highest standards of training excellence. You will help establish and lead a team of highly skilled instructors, and administrative staff to provide quality aviation maintenance training programs that meet industry standards.Key Responsibilities:1. Leadership and Management:Oversee daily operations of the training academy, ensuring alignment with BSA’s mission and goals.Foster a positive and productive work environment.Develop and implement strategic plans for program development and continuous improvement with the TM and AM.Manage the building and 2. Program Development:Work with the TM and AM to evaluate training programs to meet industry needs and standards.Monitor advancements in aviation technology and training methodologies to keep the curriculum current.3. Financial Management:Develop and manage BSA’s budget, ensuring financial sustainability and accountability.Identify and pursue funding opportunities, including grants and partnerships, to support training initiatives.4. Student Services:Promote a supportive learning environment that enhances student success and satisfaction.  5. Marketing and Outreach:Develop marketing strategies to attract new business, and ensure the BSA brand is seen to be leading aviation in both product and standards.Represent BSA at industry events, career fairs, and community functions.Qualifications:Extensive experience in aviation training, with knowledge of regulations and Part 147 standards.Proven leadership and managerial skills, with a track record of successful team development and program management.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.Proficient in budgeting, financial management, and strategic planning.Working Conditions:The role is office based minimum 3 days per week and 2 WFH.The role may require occasional evening and weekend hours for training sessions and events.Must be able to work in an environment that involves interaction with students, staff and industry professionals.
