General Manager – Cat Litter Project

About the RoleWe are seeking a high-caliber General Manager to lead the end-to-end operations of the company’s Cat Litter Project, covering raw material sourcing, production, quality assurance, cost management, product development, marketing and sales channel support.This role oversees both strategic and operational aspects to scale the business, ensure high-quality product performance, and achieve commercial growth in both domestic and international markets.Key Responsibilities1. Project & Operations LeadershipLead the overall project execution from production setup, operational readiness, and scale-up planning.Manage daily operations across material processing, production, packaging, and outbound logistics.Implement production systems that ensure consistency, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.2. Quality, Safety & Regulatory ComplianceOversee product performance standards for cat litter (absorbency, clumping, dust control, odor management).Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, industrial, and quality standards (ISO/GMP or equivalent).Coordinate with government agencies, consultants, and laboratories as required.3. Commercial & Product Development SupportWork closely with commercial teams to develop product features, SKUs, packaging formats, and customer requirements.Support market research, competitive analysis, and pricing recommendations.Provide operational insights to expand distribution channels (retail, online, export).4. Cost, Budget & Performance ManagementManage plant budgets, P&L components, production costs, and yield improvement.Monitor and report KPIs related to production volume, cost per ton, quality performance, and productivity.Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and enhance efficiency.5. Team Leadership & People DevelopmentLead and develop cross-functional teams (production, QA/QC, maintenance, logistics).Build a performance-driven, safety-focused, and collaborative working culture.Ensure manpower planning, competency development, and clear succession pipelines.6. Stakeholder & Cross-Functional CoordinationCoordinate with upstream teams for raw material supply and logistics.Work with procurement, finance, sales/marketing, and external partners to ensure smooth project execution.Maintain strong relationships with local communities and relevant stakeholders.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mineral Processing, Business Administration, or related field.10+ years of experience in manufacturing, FMCG, mineral/absorbent material products, or large-scale production operations.Minimum 5 years in management with proven ability to lead factory operations or complex projects.Strong understanding of production systems (drying, granulation, packaging), although specific mineral expertise is not required.Strategic mindset with strong analytical and operational planning capabilities.Good communication skills in English; Thai language preferred.
