The Company is now in growth mode and has just contracted to manage and operate a newly built 8,000 capacity concert and convocation facility outside Atlanta. The facility was constructed in preparation for hosting a wide variety of concerts and events - from international superstars to major recording artists to school graduations - while reflecting the rich musical heritage, cosmopolitan spirit and multi-cultural spectrum of its home in greater Atlanta.Position SummaryThe General Manager will establish and oversee business operations at the newly created 8,000 capacity venue. This role will work closely with corporate leadership and local municipalities to ensure the venue is run successfully and profitably in line with the standards, policies and procedures of the Company, with respect to the needs of the relevant outside stakeholders and by incorporating the best practices of venue management.This is a full-time, in-venue, salaried position based in the greater Atlanta area. The successful hire will report to the Company President.Specific ResponsibilitiesEstablish, manage and run the staff and operations at the facility including direct oversight and hiring of key staff in Facilities and Operations, Box Office, Security, Food and Beverage and Administrative roles.Participate in budgeting and forecasting of operational and production expenses, as well as ancillary revenue streams, proactively communicating with senior management and other relevant stakeholders.Understand, identify and maximize revenue drivers to deliver strong business results while simultaneously optimizing the overall guest and artist experience.Hire, train and schedule full- and part-time employees to meet staffing levels and budget targets for general operations and for each event, establishing and maintaining quality standards and consistent expectations of performance and customer service.Oversee employee performance, monitoring, reviewing and documenting employee attendance and performance records according to company processes and best practices.Oversee hiring of subcontractors and/or third-party vendors (including HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Cleaning, Security, Trash/Recycling), ensuring they meet and deliver high quality, high value services to the venue, customers and/or talent.Collaborate with Marketing, Box Office, Food and Beverage, and Operations to create and deliver innovative offerings that drive and optimize incremental revenue growth, fan and partner engagement, and profitability.Manage concert-related expenses to maximize profits without compromising artist, fan and partner experiences.Provide relevant cost data, create accurate Flash Reports and oversee on-site settlement of events.Promote, identify, sell and support profitable venue "rental" events.Oversee and facilitate event activities, set-up and load out with Facility and Operations, being present on-site prior to, during and after each event to provide leadership, troubleshooting and settlement support.Ensure the advancement of each show with tour security directors and manage the team to ensure the fulfillment of tour security requirements.Work closely with senior management, key civic governmental departments, the community in general and other key stakeholders to provide timely communication and information in support of the needs of the business.Undertake other reasonable duties as requested by the executive management from time to time.Adapt to added responsibilities as business or market conditions dictate.Qualifications5 or more years of experience in general management or operations management with live events/venues.Strong organizational and start up skills; able to anticipate and assess likely challenges, conceptualize and implement solutions, and institute processes and procedures to avoid recurrence of issues.Financial expertise including budgeting and profitability analysis.Strong problem-solving skills relevant to both immediate and long-term scenarios.Excellent team leadership and management skills, including a working knowledge of Health & Safety requirements.Skilled communicator, in both verbal and written formats.Leadership style that fosters both respect and results; leading by example and demonstrating a commitment to high standards for self and the team.Understanding of and experience with commercial and private events preferred.CompensationCompetitive salary, incentive and benefits will be offered, commensurate with the role and the final hire’s experience.ContactEnterGain is the exclusive recruiter on this project.
